Shadows of Triumph
This painting marked a turning point. A figure rides forward, sheltered beneath a blue and green umbrella, red jacket burning against the ground beneath, bike and umbrella merging into a single shadow. It was the piece that opened doors I hadn't yet imagined, born from a series once known as "Traveling Through Space."
Around this time, French-speaking European press began calling me "La Fille au Parapluie" the girl with the umbrella. The name stayed with me long after the interviews ended, and the umbrella itself became a signature thread running through my work ever since.
